Specialists of Kherson shipyard of Smart Maritime Group (SMG, Kherson) are successfully continuing the project to upgrade a series of dry cargo vessels belonging to EemsWerken B.V. (the Netherlands). Today, four vessels of the Dutch company are on the shipyard's stocks at once. In March, EEMS Spirit and EEMS Stream joined EEMS Servant and EEMS Solar dry cargo ships that entered the shipyard in January.
Smart Maritime Group (SMG, Kherson), which unites the Kherson and Nikolaev shipyards, performed conversion and repair of 55 vessels and 2 hulls of the chemical tanker in 2020.
The consolidated revenue of the company's divisions from the sale of commercial products at the end of the year amounted to about UAH 375 million, which is 22% less than in 2019. The decrease in revenue was due to the coronavirus pandemic, which increased negative trends in the commodity markets, destabilized the freight market and, as a result, reduced the need for fleet renewal and repair among potential customers.

Today the MONTEVERDI vessel departed from the berth of the Kherson shipyard of Smart Maritime Group to carry out outfitting work in the Netherlands.
On September 11th , Smart Maritime Group (Kherson, SMG) held the launching ceremony for the next outfitted hull of the chemical tanker built for the Dutch company VEKA Shipbuilding WT B.V. - branch of the VEKA Group.
This order continues the line of vessels built for VEKA at the SMG shipyards and is the fourth in a series.
