Favorable location of Mykolaiv Shipyard SMG and Kherson shipyard SMG handling terminals makes possible to take vessels all year round and perform day-and-night operations on handling of various cargo types: scrap, general cargoes such as timber, wood product, rolled-metal products, construction materials in big bags, pallets, 20’ and 40’ containers, oversize and overweight cargo arriving by water, railway and by road.
The 365 m long jetty is equipped with two 100/16 tlc Gantry Cranes each and a 10 tlc Crane. This enables to service 200 m maximum length vessels. After dredging in 2020, with a new operating depth of 7 meters, the port terminal has become able to load a fleet of more than DWT 11 000 t. . The railroad, adjoining the jetty, provide for accommodation of 100 cars. The jetty is equipped with an open air 19 000 m2 warehouse area, with roofed 1700 m2 warehouses area.
The Complex has experience in transloading of large-size metal structures from ship to barge with further transportation up the Dnieper river.
